Whack-a-Zombie
This prototype was developed for the ScoreSpace Jam #33 (jam link)
Whack-a-Zombie is all about timing weapon charges, enemy attack charges, and stat buff charges.
Hold the left mouse button down on zombies to attack them. The popup text will include "(KILL)" if this attack will finish it off, otherwise you will have at least one more attack to go. Hurry, before they charge their own attack! (Hint: maybe try timing your attack to kill just in the nick of time...)
Occasionally, Ingots and Leaves will spawn. Gather them before they disappear! Once you have at least 3 Ingots, you can charge the Anvil button on the left to permanently increase your attack damage. 3 ingots gives +1 damage, but every additional Ingot gives +1 additional damage (for example: 5 ingots gives +3 damage, 10 Ingots gives +8 damage).
Similarly, you need at least 3 Leaves to heal +1 HP by charging the Cauldron, but you get an additional +1 HP for each additional Leaf if you can hold off long enough.
You get 1 point per second you survive, as well as points for each zombie you kill equal to its max HP (hint: try timing your kills right before you get attacked...) The longer you play, the more health zombies spawn with. When you do finally die (spoiler alert), you can enter your name to go on a locally-saved leaderboard.
